IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR
WESTSIDE CHURCH
In light of all conversations surrounding the 2019 coronavirus (COVID-19), we want to let you know how Westside Church is responding. Our leadership team is carefully and continuously monitoring the situation. It is our highest priority to make sure we create the safest and cleanest environment possible for everyone at Westside each and every week. To be cautious and to minimize any impact of this virus, we are planning to prepare using the following strategies:
- We will not be passing offering plates for giving to reduce contact, however you can drop your offerings in the offering boxes we have installed in our main hall near our doors entering and exiting the worship center.
- For kids check in we will have people there to check your kids in so that you do not need to touch the check in equipment.
- We will not have coffee and doughnuts.
● All public areas have been sanitized with CDC-approved cleaning products throughout the week.
● More frequent, careful sanitization of all toys and surfaces in child classrooms.
● We are continuing to monitor statements from the Center for Disease Control (CDC).
Let's work together to help protect one another's health. As a reminder, to help minimize the spread of any sickness during this influenza season, please follow these CDC recommendations:
● Please stay home if you are sick.
● Properly wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, covering all surfaces of your hands. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with a
minimum of 60% alcohol.
● Avoid shaking hands or giving hugs. (Please consider waving or air hugs)
● Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands.
● Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
● Cover your coughs and sneezes with tissue and then throw tissue in the trash and wash hands immediately.
● Clean and disinfect any frequently touched objects and surfaces.
If you would like any further information on the 2019 novel coronavirus, please visit the official website of the CDC at CDC.gov. This is the same source we will be watching for any updated information.
For Westside Kids Quest and preschool, please remember that we sanitize the toys and surfaces every service.
Please follow the guidelines that a child should be fever free for at least 24 hours before returning to Westside Kids Quest and Preschool. You can help by closely monitoring children for any symptoms.
For Groups, we ask that you consider following these same practices in your groups.
As a church family, please continue to pray for those impacted by the virus and see this as an opportunity to be hands of grace.
Again, we will continue to carefully monitor the situation and will respond in accordance to updates from the CDC as they are given. We will continue to update you as new information arises. Please know that the safety of our church family remains our greatest priority.
