Is a free, faith-based ministry of Westside Church. We will walk along side new moms and dads to train them to be effective and nurturing parents. We will do this through a three-fold strategy.
1. Education to empower.
2. Relationships to encourage.

Education
We believe that education is empowerment. Participants in “Side By Side” receive educational services in all areas of life. We work to help you learn to be a parent who takes great care of your child and yourself. Our education classes include subjects like: Well Baby Care, Household Finances, Personal Health and Fitness, Cook- ing, Home Upkeep, and Bible Studies to help you conquer the challenges we all face in life.
Relationships
A key area of “Side By Side” is relation- ships. As a participant you will meet regularly with a mentor who will help you get connected to the resources for prenatal care as well as services needed after child birth. Your mentor will walk with you daily if needed. They will help you by answering questions you have in the daily challenges you face. Another important part of your time with us will be in establishing a relationship with God and other people who are in similar life situations. We will help you to grow in these relationships so you can help one another and begin life long friend- ships that will add value to your life.
Resources
“Side By Side” will work hard to make sure that you receive the resources necessary to provide for your family. We will assist you in getting supplies that are needed as
your child grows. We have many partners who have donated to make sure that your baby has all he/she needs. We also have classes to help you learn to be independent as you acquire these supplies for yourself.
